Digital Thermometers

Accu-Temp H Thermistor Thermometer
This simple-to-use pocket thermometer is an excellent choice when high-temperature monitoring or temperature verification in wet environments is necessary.

With a reading range of +14°F to +392° F (-10°C to +200°C), this cost-efficient thermometer retains maximum and minimum temperatures in memory and provides the user with the option of switching the temperature reading from Fahrenheit to Celsius at the touch of a button.

The "H" is an ideal instrument for food service, where steam and occasional exposure to moisture are factors.  The unit can be carried in a shirt pocket with the protective sleeve.

The sleeve also serves as a handle (thread the shaft of the probe through the eye for holding over hot fluids, etc.

Accu-Temp L Thermistor Thermometer
The Accu-Temp L is a proven performer especially for low-temperature monitoring or temperature verification in wet environments.

With a reading range of -58°F to +302°F
(-50°C to +150°C), this unit has maximum/minimum memory retention, Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature switching at the touch of a button and a one-hour auto shutoff to preserve battery life.

The stainless probe shaft has been bonded directly the the high impact plastic body for maximum strength and resistance to "working back and forth" of the shaft-body connection with extended heavy use.

The rubber control buttons are easy to press, and the seal against moisture is quite good.

The "L" is great for cold rooms, in food service and for warehouses.

"L" also comes with a sleeve that functions like the "H" sleeve, above.

Accu-Temp R Thermistor Thermometer
Our unique Accu-Temp™ R is a breakthrough in design and innovation.  The head is angled towards the user for easier reading (especially in bad lighting).  The red buttons are very visible, and protrude for very easy touch.  The "R" does not carry in the pocket as easily as our L and H "lollipop" models, but the upward facing display is superior for viewing...especially when you are making multiple probe measurements in a series of pots or containers.

Like all our probes, the probe shaft comes with a protective sleeve that doubles as a handle for use over cooking kettles and hot liquids.

Checktemp Thermometer
Sometimes when you get it right, it stays right for a long time.  The Checktemp
is a classic design that our customers keep asking for, because of its simplicity, accuracy and rugged construction.  It doesn't get any simpler that this, turn it on and measure temperatures...that's it.  The home plate case design adds to its strength and with this stable shape, Checktemp™ is easy to hold in slippery or wet environments.

Checktemp comes in Fahrenheit and Celsius versions (be sure to order the right version for your application.

Readout is clear and precise.  Training time is minimal.  The thermal response time is the best you can get in a digital thermistor-type instrument, and the accuracy is suitable for even the most demanding of food service or cold chain applications.

Comes with a very solid shaft protection sleeve for storage and carrying.

Why Choose a Thermocouple Type of Thermometer?
Thermocouple thermometers have been a standard of the industry for many years and are reliable and very resistant to drift.  The most significant aspect of thermocouple thermometers, however, is the incredible range of specialized probes available.  Long probes, short probes, probes you can hit with a hammer, probes for measuring hot griddles in seconds--all of these types are only available in thermocouple format.  Call us if you have a specialized need.

Why Choose a Thermistor Type of Thermometer?

Thermistor thermometers are less expensive and deliver more performance for the dollar than any other type.  Thermistor digital thermometers are typically of the "built-in" probe type and are useful for probing liquids, semi-liquids and soft solids to determine inner core temperatures.

About Calibration of Digital Thermometers

Digital thermometers are very stable, and do not have a tendency to lose their calibration without some exposure to dirt or condensation on the circuitry, heat damage, or physical damage to any of the components.  However, good practice requires periodic calibration to assure stated accuracy, especially for HACCP and other mandated programs.  We perform calibration for all types of digital thermometers at prices that beat anything that you can find.  Click here for more details.
