Relative Humidity Two Point
Calibration

This test subjects humidity loggers or humidity sensing meters
to 2 different controlled humidity stable conditions in a
humidity calibration chamber long enough to achieve
equilibration and a steady response. The readings obtained from
the tested device are recorded as "as found" humidity values.
The report compares those readings with data from a calibrated
source as reference values. Deviations from this reference
value are computed as the difference between the "as found"
values and the reference values.
Testing for this RH2AF procedure is standardized at +25.0°C.
Please specify if you require
documentation in °F or °C. |
Use this calibration procedure if you
are doing routine humidity measurements within a limited
range. The two standard points
will be set at 33%RH and 76%RH. Calibrations are
performed at +25.0°C.
This calibration is typically used for conformation in
regulated programs and for food and pharmaceutical
applications using routine measurements.
We have the capability to calibrate at different
temperatures and relative humidity values, but extra charges
may apply.

Relative Humidity Three
Point Calibration

This test subjects humidity loggers or humidity sensing meters
to 3 different controlled humidity stable conditions in a
humidity calibration chamber long enough to achieve
equilibration and a steady response. The readings obtained from
the tested device are recorded as "as found" humidity values.
The report compares those readings with data from a calibrated
source as reference values. Deviations from this reference
value are computed as the difference between the "as found"
values and the reference values.
Testing for this RH3AF procedure is standardized at +25.0°C. |
Use this calibration procedure
if you make a wider range of humidity measurements or if
environmental conditions vary more than expected in a controlled
situation.
The three standard points will be
set at 33%RH, 50%RH and 76%RH.
Calibrations are performed at +25.0°C.
This calibration is typically used for situations where humidity
monitoring is performed in transit or under more variable
conditions than highly controlled indoor applications. It
is used in this context for regulated programs or anywhere where
sustained accuracy is important.
Note that many regulated programs specify that calibrations be
performed at 90%, 50% and 10% of the full expected range in
typical usage of the humidity monitor. |

Temperature Three Point
Calibration

This test subjects temperature loggers or temperature sensing
meters to 3 different controlled temperature stable conditions
in each of two constant temperature calibration chambers long
enough to achieve equilibration and a steady response. The
readings obtained from the tested device are recorded as "as
found" temperature values. The report compares those readings
with data from a calibrated source as reference values.
Deviations from this reference value are computed as the
difference between the "as found" values and the reference
values. |
This calibration procedure is
the most typical one that is performed on temperature measuring
devices. The range we cover with this test is from +40°C
down to -10°C under strict thermostatic control (contact us for dry ice or cryogenic
temperatures). Our standard calibration temperatures at +25°C,
+15°C and +5°C. We can also eliminate one of these points
and add -10°C as the low point.
We have the capability to test at other temperature levels in a
three point calibration, but extra charges may apply.

Temperature Two Point
Calibration

This test subjects temperature loggers or temperature sensing
meters to 2 different controlled temperature stable conditions
in each of three constant temperature calibration chambers long
enough to achieve equilibration and a steady response. The
readings obtained from the tested device are recorded as "as
found" temperature values. The report compares those readings
with data from a calibrated source as reference values.
Deviations from this reference value are computed as the
difference between the "as found" values and the reference
values. |
This calibration procedure is
used for special purpose temperature sensor devices that are
operated in narrower ranges (example: checking of refrigeration
systems that operate under thermostatic control).
The
two points will be performed at your choice of two points
from these standard ranges:
+25°C, +15°C, +5°C and -10°C.
We have the capability to test at other temperature levels in a
two point calibration, but extra charges may apply. |

Infrared Meter Three
Point Calibration
This test subjects Infrared sensing meters to 3 different
controlled temperature flat plane "targets", each independently
controlled and calibrated to maintain known temperatures. The
constant values are recorded from reference digital meters
connected to the targets. The readings obtained from the tested
Infrared meter device are recorded as "as found" temperature
values. The report compares those readings with data from a
calibrated source as reference values. Deviations from this
reference value are computed as the difference between the "as
found" values and the reference values. |
This is a
standardized test for Infrared thermometers. IR
thermometers are used in many regulated programs and our
certification is acceptable for those programs.
Please specify our standard range (+40.0°C. +22.5°C and +5°C or
our low range (two from this list, plus a deep
frozen reference point that is typically in the -10°C range.
Note that many regulated programs
specify that calibrations be performed at 90%, 50% and 10% of
the full expected range in typical usage of the infrared device. |

Temperature and Humidity
Two Point Calibration
+

This test subjects humidity/temperature loggers or
humidity/temperature sensing meters to 2 different controlled
temperature and humidity stable conditions in a temperature and
humidity calibration chamber long enough to achieve
equilibration and a steady response for both values (each
humidity standard value is associated with a paired temperature
value). The readings obtained from the tested device are
recorded as "as found" humidity values and "as found"
temperature values. The report compares those readings with
data from a calibrated source as reference values. Deviations
from this reference value are computed as the difference between
the "as found" values and the reference values. |
Choose this
test if your requirements are the same as the two point relative
humidity calibration test (see above), but the specific
requirements of your program require that the temperature at
which the relative humidity test is performed be independently
verified on the calibration certificate.
This test designation also applies if you require relative
humidity testing at at temperature different from the standard
RH testing temperature of +25.0°C. Please specify
temperature reference points required when ordering.
Temperature designations must be non-condensing. |

Relative Humidity Two
Point Calibration
with Device Reset

his test is identical to RH2AF, except that the particular model
of humidity meter or logger being tested has an available
feature of resetting the readings (either by means of software
settings or physical adjustments of a set screw) . The customer
requires that after a deviation is recorded, that the lab make
an adjustment to improve reading accuracy. As found values are
thereby adjusted to minimize the deviation. After the
adjustments, the values rendered by the device are reported as
"as left" values in the final report. |
This test is the same as the
two point relative humidity test, but with the addition of a
deliberate reset of the device to the corrected reading.
We use this procedure with our
DataWatch Elite Humidity Loggers, as these devices are
capable of resetting in software. If you have a different
brand of device, please provide the manual and/or software to
perform the required reset. |
